Summary: Inspired by the work of Frank Lloyd Wright, the design of the new Agua Caliente Spa Resort Casino Hotel features natural materials that mirror the philosophy of harmonizing new construction with the landscape. VOA Associates, an Orlando, Florida based firm with offices worldwide, provided architecture and interior design for the new 319,966-s.f. hotel to connect to the existing casino.

Working in a design-assist role with Las Vegas-based MSA Engineering Consultants, Berg installed new electrical services, including four generators, paralleling switchgear and four main switchboards. The challenge, explains Berg’s Project Manager Justin Knippel, was to tie the electrical from the new structure with the existing casino without interrupting any of the 24/7 operations at the casino. Berg’s San Diego detailing department played a major role in coordinating this effort, while its prefabrication department streamlined electrical installations for the hotel’s 342 deluxe rooms and suites.
