Summary:The ability to go directly from harvesting to the laboratory and on to final production of plant-based pharmaceuticals is being made possible through the vision of ALK-Abello Source Materials, Inc., whose parent company is the global leader in production of pharmaceuticals for a specific allergy vaccination known as immunotherapy.

Their new Post-Falls Division’s remote location presented a unique set of construction challenges – the biggest of which was maintaining an inventory of readily-available construction materials. Flexibility of the Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) system on the ALK-Abello Source Materials project allowed Berg to change inventory to coincide with phases of construction, as well as further contribute to sound environmental practices by reducing the carbon footprint of the project.
