Summary: Bergelectric teamed up with contractors Jaynes Corporation to transform a VA Hospital into a communications central for Cox Communications. Jaynes’ first undertaking was the interior demolition of the 186,000-s.f. building to prepare it for Cox Communications’ tenant improvements. It took vision and careful planning to take on a tenant-improvement project of this magnitude and Bergelectric’s Las Vegas office was a critical member of the Janyes team in making the conversion to the two-story structure possible.
To optimize labor efforts Berg’s Prefabrication Department was responsible for providing the hundreds of junction boxes, hangar brackets and trapeze brackets utilized in the electrical installation. This enabled Berg to gain significant labor efficiencies.
