Summary: As one of the top research institutions in the US , Duke University has a reputation for world-class academics. Many changes have occurred in both the law and technology since Duke Law School ’s mid-century building was first constructed in the1950s. Despite seemingly constant construction that has taken place over the past decade, the Law School has just completed the largest building project in its history.

Preserving the historic integrity of the building while bringing it into the next century with respect to technology required Berg’s Raleigh-Durham team to further tap into its ingenuity. Berg took the lead by installing wireless internet throughout the library, state-of-the-art computer systems being made available, and the latest technologies applied to Duke Law’s data areas, the university is posed to meet global challenges for years to come.
