Summary: The new Federal Courthouse in El Paso, Texas, is a civic monument that defines the edge of the city’s downtown, framing a magnificent view toward Mount Franklin. This is according to the world-renowned design firm of Antoine Predock Architects, winner of an international design competition held by the US General Services Administration.
Among Berg’s trials on this project was the need for safety precautions in deep excavations, as well as high-rise construction and coordination with other trades on the congested worksite. To ensure everyone’s safety, Berg provided an onsite safety manager to regularly monitor and train personnel in everything from fall protection and equipment operation to lock-out procedures.
