Summary: A uniquely capable team of experts was assembled by general contractor Bayley Construction to transform the 7,100-s.f. of space at Digital Insight’s Westlake facilities from offices to the state-of-the-art Intuit Data Center. Bergelectric worked closely with electrical engineer EYP Mission Critical Facilities to ensure data security and that the appropriate power to provide operational continuity was delivered on the new $2.5-million facility.
In just four months, Bergelectric crews were able to construct a new Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) room that houses critical power necessary to maintain the sea of Intuit servers, as well as the massive Cool Recirculating Air Center (CRAC) units required to keep them operating in top form. “In addition to upgrading and integrating existing equipment and providing new switchgear, we added a 500 KVA UPS with battery cabinets and remote power panels. |
