Summary: The striking architecture of the Jack, Will and Rob Youth Center in Camas, Washington, presented a few stumbling blocks for Bergelectric. The facility’s small angular design made it difficult to hide electrical features and to coordinate with other construction trades. But Berg crews – working with Hoffman Construction – were able to resolve some tough issues concerning placement of specialty lighting fixtures, fire-alarm devices and equipment connection in the exposed beam ceilings.
The much-needed youth center includes a full-size gymnasium, a ceramics studio, an art gallery, game rooms, various craft centers and soundproof music rooms.
