Summary: Culture and education prevail in Portland’s West End where Bergelectric recently completed Museum Place South – a mixed-use facility, covering a full city block. The facility houses a new 47,000-s.f. full service Safeway grocery store on the ground floor and six levels of residential space with 128 apartments and 12 two-story townhomes. Features included a large landscaped courtyard for residents to enjoy and two levels of underground parking. The project is part of a larger redevelopment effort that spans three city blocks along the route of Portland’s newly resurrected streetcar system.
