Summary: Camp Pendleton has broken ground on the largest Navy construction project in the federal stimulus fund program.
Bergelectric is working in a design-build effort with Xnth Consulting Engineers on this new 500,000-square foot Naval Hospital. The hospital will have an ocean view and state of the art medical facilities for 150,000 military service members, their families and retirees.
A partnership of Clark and McCarthy, companies based in St Louis and Bethesda, was awarded the $400 million contract in September. Construction is on a fast track and the hospital is scheduled to open in 2014. |
