Summary: The Navy’s new BEQ, Pacific Beacon, supports the President’s “Grow the Force” initiative to increase military strength by more than 100,000 troops in the next five years. Delivering these facilities on a fast-track schedule to meet growth goals has been made possible in large part because the military has become a strong proponent of both design-build and design-assist. As much as 80% of the work that Bergelectric provides on Department of Defense (DOD) projects in virtually every branch of the military – Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, National Guard, Reserves, as well as the Army Corps of Engineers – is delivered utilizing these delivery methods.
Bergelectric's San Diego office brings private-sector experience and perspective to bear on the changing trends in military design like the Pacific Beacon project (4 buildings), which offers higher levels of finishes, aesthetic appeal, and energy efficiency. |
