Summary: According to EHB Project Management, the lineage of the building concept for Queensridge Towers can be traced back to an era when owners of stylish New York penthouses could step out of an elevator into the foyer of their private residence. Berg teamed with Perini Building Company on the shell buildings and EHB for tenant improvements to help make this posh privilege a reality.
In a design-assist capacity, Bergelectric was actively involved in coordinating with both JMA and electrical designer Harris Consulting Engineers. Berg developed several cost-saving solutions for the intricate power-supply systems required for a building of this complexity. Creative contributions included vertical distribution using bus-duct risers and electronic metering, as well as a control-point, low-voltage distribution system.
