Summary: Upon opening, the 279,000-s.f. Acute Care Pavilion of the Rady’s Children’s Center will boast one of the most advanced pediatric facilities in America. The ambitious plans for this building will make it one of the only hospital buildings in California to achieve LEED standards.
Bergelectric has teamed up with McCarthy Building Group on this grand project which also includes construction of an adjacent structure providing over 330,000-s.f. for parking. Coordinating closely with electrical engineer Randall Lamb, Berg is preparing to provide power, lighting and tel-data, nurse-call, ultra sensitive patient-monitoring and security systems. In addition to the Acute Care Pavilion, Berg will be responsible for the inner workings of a new generator building, installing infrastructure that will tie to the existing plant and provide power to the Pavilion.
