Summary: Perched along the 5,800-foot elevation of the Sierra Nevada Mountains is Sierra College’s Tahoe-Truckee campus, which serves the diverse learning requirements of the region.
Under the leadership of Rudolph & Sletten Construction, the school’s new classroom and administration building was completed in July 2008. The $12-million facility features a two-story atrium which Lionakis Beaumont Design Group designed for heavy snow loads common to the Sierra Nevada range. The floor-to-ceiling atrium supported by a steel structure will help to reduce the need for interior lighting even during short winter days. |
