Summary: The fast-track delivery of Sony’s 11-story North American headquarters – which will provide space for executives, marketing staff and product-development engineers – required the new building to be constructed in 20-months. Berg prepared a complete electrical layout of the proposed facility during the bidding process based on architectural floor plans and electrical drawings that consisted solely of a single-line diagram and site-distribution plan. “Berg’s previous experience provided the confidence for our preconstruction team to refine the electrical scope and devise a lighting layout, determine path of egress and identify controls switching,” states Berg Senior Project Manager Rick Greenwell.
Berg’s lighting software allowed the preconstruction team to prepare photometric 3D drawing that take into account furniture, light reflections and room layout to determine the best-suited lighting plan. |
