Summary: Dedicated to supporting the thriving science community, the University of North Carolina constructed a new research and science complex, housing interdisciplinary research in emerging areas such as genomics. The 210,000-s.f. project included the demolition of two buildings to make room for two larger teaching and research buildings designed by William Wilson Associated Architects.
Berg provided electrical power, lighting, and emergency and fire-alarm systems. This ambitious project, also included a new chiller plant for the North Campus and a new parking deck.
