Specialized Training Facility

The MARSOC West Facilities provides specialized training for non-conventional missions performed by the Marine Corps in the evolving Homeland Security/anti-terrorism role.   The project consists of the headquarters building, supply warehouse with mezzanine, paraloft facility, academic instruction facility, armory, and motor transport facility, along with washracks/vehicle wash pads, and loading/unloading ramp. The two-story, 89,793 sq ft headquarters accommodates the command and control functions, SCIF, a Battalion Aid Station and physical therapy. The headquarters and academic buildings are LEED Gold, and the remaining buildings are LEED Certified.  All six buildings received SDG&E Savings by Design Awards. *Excerpt from Randall Lamb Electrical Engineers
