Building a Premier Police Facility

Noted as one of the most modern and sophisticated Police Headquarters today, Chula Vista’s brand new Police Headquarters is ahead of its time. This 150,000-s.f. facility includes records, operations, police dispatch, investigations, a property room, a state-of-the-art crime lab, indoor firing range and a parking structure for approximately 400 vehicles and a roof top 40kW photovoltaic array.

Unique electrical features for this project included a 9-1-1-call center that is completely self-sufficient due to the installation of the 800kva Generator, which insures that the Call Center will always be up and running.  Bergelectric also provided miles of CAD 6 cable for the high-tech 9-1-1 call center located on the 3rd floor of the building.

A state-of-the-art security and fire alarm system was installed throughout the entire building. In the basement of the Chula Vista Police Headquarters, Bergelectric provided full electrical installation of a modern and functional jail-house. Also present down below, was a 400 space parking garage.  According to Bergelectric Foreman Rick Haish, “People from all over the world came to see this facility—the project was absolutely amazing.
