Product Creation Center for a Technological Giant

Nokia’s new head of North America, said that organizational and mindset changes make Nokia poised to finally have an impact in the U.S. The number-one phone maker in the world has scant market share in the U.S. and has been trying to break into the market for years. With Windows Mobile, which Nokia announced in 2010 it would start using, it hopes to finally do so.

The new Nokia operation in San Diego is known as the North American Product Creation Center. It works on creating phones specifically for the North American market. The San Diego center is Nokia’s largest R&D site in the United States. It is comprised of software teams, research and product developers, marketing and other corporate functions.
