Accelerated Schedule to Expand An Existing Casino

After building the original Pechanga Resort and Casino, Bergelectric once again paired up with Pechanga Development Corp. to complete their new expansion project. The ability to work as an intergrated team was critical to the design assist efforts necessary to keeping the complex casino assignments on schedule.

Pechanga included an extensive amount of site work that was critical to the project. The facilities’ power demands increased to the point that a new 33kV substation was constructed to provide power for the entire complex. This work was done while the bustling hotel and casino were in operation.

The addition of over 450,000 s.f. includes a five station food court, nightclub, ale house restaurant and bar, expanded non-smoking casino, new high-limit gaming area and a one million s.f. parking structure that offers valet service. A new chiller plant and the reconstruction of entrances were also part of the expansion.
