High-Rise Mixed-Use Facility In San Antonio

Bergelectric began work in April 2007 on the Vistana – the latest multi –family development to grace the San Antonio skyline. Through its clean art-deco style, designers Architects Rehler, Vaghn and Koone are reviving high-rise living in style throughout this 17-story building that will feature nearly 250 apartments – including majestically-rising two-story penthouses.

Berg was responsible for the installation of lighting, switchgear, emergency generator, tel-data and security raceways and lightning protection designed by Blum Consulting Engineers.

Always seeking creative ways to exceed expectations, the Berg team use PVC-coated MC cable throughout The Vistana. Berg’s experience with this type of mixed-use high-rise building gave us insight into value-engineering ideas that will keep the project in budge and on track.

According to Bergelectric’s Superintendent, installing the PVC-coated MC cable put the majority of Berg’s efforts at the front end of the project, so that other tasks were expedited to meet the project schedule.
