Bergelectric Delivers a Fast Paced Office Improvement

WeWork B Street was an extremely demanding, and very fast paced tenant improvement project. Bergelectric was given only 14 weeks to complete six floors—each floor was approximately 32,000 Square feet within a Downtown San Diego high-rise building. All six of the original floors were completely cleared out and converted into office spaces, meeting rooms, and a restaurant/cafe. Bergelectric’s scope of work consisted of new electrical installation on all floors including; new light fixtures, a new state-of-the-art lighting control system, receptacles, wire-mold, new distribution panels, sub-panels, and transformers on all six floors.

With an extremely condensed construction schedule (14-weeks), tight construction quarters on multiple levels within an existing high-rise facility, multiple trades on-site, and limited space to store materials, a meticulous project management approach was crucial not only to keep up with the fast-tracked schedule, but also to assure the high level of quality that Bergelectric is known for. Carefully coordinated deliveries from Bergelectric’s vendors (aka: just-in-time-deliveries) for instance, were crucial due to the congested work environment and lack of space in and around the facility.
