Continuous Education and Training THE MERIT SHOP WAY
Merit Shops, like Bergelectric, partner with organizations like the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), the Western Electrical Contractors Association (WECA), and many other organizations to provide formal apprenticeship training programs that are registered with the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship and the State Division of Apprenticeship Standards. These programs meet all federal and state requirements for formal apprenticeship and prevailing wage work, including employer-sponsored classroom instruction and on-the-job training. Upon successful completion, craft workers are recognized at the journey level in their trade and are awarded their apprenticeship certificate.
