Set on the rugged terrain of Ione, California, in Amador County, Bergelectric delivered one of its largest design-build correctional projects to date—the Mule Creek Infill Complex. Developed for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), the 544,000-square-foot campus encompasses 23 new buildings and was designed to house Level II inmates within the California prison system. The state-of-the-art facility is located adjacent to the active, high-security Mule Creek State Prison, expanding the region’s correctional infrastructure while supporting CDCR’s long-term operational needs.
